Free or Low-Cost Activities

FREE:
  • Storytime at the Library (Univ Library is Tuesdays at 11:30am or Thursdays at 10:30am)
  • Reedy Creek Park & Nature Center - outdoor playground, indoor nature center
  • Toys R' Us (Alright, laugh if you must at this one, but when its crazy hot out we take L.J. to go play with all the cool toys at the toystore ;)
  • ImaginOn - Every Friday: 10am Storytime, 3rd Monday of every month (thru Dec.): 11am Puppetshow
  • Northlake Mall - outdoor spraygrounds (near Borders) & indoor playground
  • Veteran's Park - spraygrounds & playgrounds
  • the "Lake" at University - they have a playground there and the kids always enjoy feeding the ducks
  • Stroller Rollers at NorthLake Mall - 3rd Thursday of the month at 11 am. They are going to have a lecture relevent to moms and serve light refreshments. Next one is on Oct. 18.
Low-Cost:
  • Ray's Splash Planet ($3 for kids 0-5yrs., Adults Free) - Mom & Tot Meet n' Greet, the second Monday of every month (Sept. - May)
  • Ray's Splash Planet - Mini Chef or Sponge Painting Days ($6 for the class & for all day swim) Classes are from 10 am-10:45am. I have a calendar with all the dates if you are interested or you can check out their website.
  • Monkey Joes's - $5 for kids, adults free
  • Mallard Creek or Hickory Grove Rec Centers ($1-2)
